Buff and Complementary Colors
Rose is a red color deepened with black or gray.  Rose can be made with the colorants of red  and raw umber. mixed into a white base.
Tones, Shades and Tints of Rose are made by adding white (or using less tint in a white base), or by strengthening the color by adding more tint. Adding gray (raw umber or similar tint) will also give you a deeper shade of Rose.  See Analogous Colors
The straight complement of rose is Green (a dark green like a forest green looks best).   The split complements are blue. blue/green, yellow and yellow/green.  See Choosing a Complementary Paint Colors


Rose looks nice on an accent wall, or in a room with white trim and woodwork.  For a very Victorian look, a dark walnut stain on the trim works well.
Located on the color wheel between purple/red and orange/red, then deepened with gray. This tint blend is then added into a white base to achieve a Rose color.
