Unlike inside corners, outside corners are not cut - they are wrapped. One reason that they are not cut is that the cut edge would roll back, curl and separate from traffic and handling that occurs on an outside corner.
Basically you are going to "hang through" the outside corner, wrapping the paper tightly around the corner. What you don't want on an outside corner is to get a short wrap of an inch or so, because this will not be any different really than if you cut the corner.
Before hanging any wallpaper in a room, you need to "engineer" the layout of the room to be sure there are no "sliver" pieces next to door frames or windows, also you want to be sure that you have enough wrap on your outside corners. Plan your strip locations to eliminate these problems. More on "engineering" in a separate article.
You will need to re-establish the paper plumb and level once you turn the corner. Most likely the outside corner is not absolutely plumb so to get going down the new wall plumb and level you will probably need to double cut the next strip in. Using a laser level or conventional level establish a plumb line just a bit wider than the next strip. After gluing and / or activating and allowing for booking time, hang the next strip parallel to your plumb line and slightly overlapping the last strip. Keep the overlap to a minimum so that your pattern will match better, match up the pattern as best you can. You will need to double cut this seam where it overlaps.
Double cutting
Double cutting is a term that is used to describe cutting through two layers of overlapping wallpaper in one cut. Double cutting creates a perfectly fitting seam and allows you to adjust the paper slightly and still get a good fitting seam. Use a new razor for the double cut and use a straight edge as a guide.
After you have aligned your first full strip and double cut it in, you are ready to continue down the wall.

Wrapping the corner
Hang the paper right to the edge of the corner and smooth it down. You will need to make a relief cut at the top and at the base board so that you can turn the corner. Next you will need to pull the paper tightly around the corner smoothing it down as you go. Watch to be sure there is no bagginess at the outside edge of the corner. Once you are around the corner and smoothed down, trim off the excess at the ceiling and base, and clean with a sponge and clean warm water.
